Tell us a bit about yourself

Ben Anderson

I am a Doctorate student at the University of Bristol, UK, training in Educational Psychology. I have a keen interest in researching the delivery of evidenced-based psychology in community-based settings  â€“ in particular, ACT and Prosocial – and I’m actively pursuing the application and research of these technologies within education in the Southwest of England.

Since the very beginning of my career, I have been driven to support young people who were facing significant challenges, particularly in the field of Youth Justice and Social Care.

Over time, I became drawn to working further upstream and focusing on how to transform mainstream school settings into more effective and supportive environments. It was during this time that I was introduced to the coherence and practical value of Contextual Behavioural Science (CBS). Since then, I’ve been deeply motivated to understand CBS and learn how to apply evidence-based psychology in community settings—while also striving to live a values-based life myself.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, celebrating music culture, and exploring areas of outstanding natural beauty.
