Join us for a Networking Day on Friday 14th of November from 11am, followed by the Poster session.

Then 2 packed conference days on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of November.

Tien Kuei is the Founder and CEO of Power to Live, a mental health charity committed to making behavioural treatments and training accessible and affordable.

She received her Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) training under the mentorship of FAP Founders, Mavis Tsai and Bob Kohlenberg, and has deepened her practice through years of close supervision with Mavis.

Tien is now supervised in Process-Based Behavioural Therapy with Yvonne Barnes-Holmes, as well as by Sarah Cassidy. Tien is a certified FAP trainer through the University of Washington and currently serves as Chair of the FAP Ethics Board. With a passion for integrating science with human connection, Tien has trained multiple cohorts of therapists in FAP woven with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

She has led workshops at numerous ACBS conferences and is the founder and organiser of the Annual European FAP Intensive Workshop in Budapest. This event fosters cross-pollination of theory applied experientially for transformative learning, and champions a community grounded in reflective practice, compassion and humility.

Dr Freddy Jackson Brown is a clinical psychologist, an Associate Fellow at University of Warwick and a Director at a small-not-profit social enterprise, The Centre of Behaviour Solutions.

He received his doctorate from the University of Southampton in 1996 and since then has been working with children and families across home, school and community settings.

At present he is leads an intensive Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) services for autistic children in Bristol. For many years he was the British Psychological Society representative to the Challenging Behaviour Foundation and chaired the Division of Clinical Psychology’s Child Learning Disability Network.

Since 2018 he has been working with computer scientists exploring how to simulate the emergence of basic relational responding processes in silico and more recently how artificial intelligence can be deployed therapeutically.

He has published 4 books and over 35 peer reviewed articles on a range of topics, including philosophy of science, clinical practice, supervision and language.
